Penguin Random House has curated a list of books by queer authors to celebrate Pride Month at a time when the American Christofascist regime is using every tool at its disposal (including weaponized religion) and every soldier in its military (including other queer folks) to dehumanize queer and trans people and snatch away our inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
These selections are books that will likely be banned (if they haven’t been already) due to the rampant anti-queerness and anti-transness that right-wing political forces use as strategy to get poor people to forget about the fact that rich people are living large off their underpaid/unpaid labor.
Literary selections range from heart-pounding adventure to marvelous prose, from interesting history to swoonworthy romance—from authors like R.O. Kwon, Renee Swindle, Jiaming Tang, Ocean Vuong, and Bryan Washington.
